Legal

Terms.

The terms for using this website and the SVX beta, in plain language.

Last updated: 6 October 2026.

SVX is a free, non-commercial project run by an independent developer in India ("we" on this page). By using the SVX app or service you agree to these terms.

Beta software

SVX is in beta. It is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind, and it may change, have bugs or be unavailable at times. Don't make SVX the only copy of anything you can't afford to lose: keep your own copies of the files you send.

Your account

You must be at least 18, or have a parent's or guardian's permission, to use SVX. You are responsible for your sign-in, your devices and your key backup. If you lose every device and your backup password, files sent to you can't be opened, and we can't recover them.

What SVX can and can't do

SVX controls who can open a file and when. It can't take back a file someone already opened, and view-only can't stop someone photographing their screen. The threat model and limits are part of what you agree to rely on.

Acceptable use

Don't use SVX to send anything illegal, to harass people or to attack the service. We may suspend accounts that do.

Liability

SVX is free and provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any loss or damage from using it or from not being able to use it, including files that can't be opened, data that is lost, or the service being unavailable. Nothing here limits any liability that the law doesn't allow to be limited.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll say so in the app before it takes effect.
