The problem

The problem

Once you send a file, it's out of your hands. It can be forwarded, copied and opened by anyone who gets hold of it, and you can't take it back.

SVX seals each file to the people you choose and keeps you in the loop after it leaves your machine.

How it works

Four steps, from seal to revoke.

  1. 01 · Seal

    Seal the file.

    Choose a file and the people who should be able to open it. SVX encrypts it, signs it as coming from you, and seals it to those people only.

  2. 02 · Split

    Split the key.

    The key that opens the file is split in two. The SVX service holds one half and the recipient's side holds the other. Both have to agree before the file opens.

  3. 03 · Verify & approve

    The recipient is verified. You approve.

    When Bob goes to open the file, SVX checks it's really him. Approval is on by default: you get a request in your app, and the file opens in his SVX app only after you say yes.

  4. 04 · Revoke

    Revoke anytime.

    Project over, or sent to the wrong person? Revoke access and the file won't open for them again.

    Revocation stops future access. It can't take back a file someone has already opened.

Sealed to people

Only the recipients you choose can open a sealed file. A forwarded copy is useless to anyone else.

Post-quantum hybrid encryption

A classical algorithm and a post-quantum one, combined, so the file stays protected if either one is ever broken.

Signed files

Every file carries your signature, so recipients can tell it came from you and hasn't been changed.

A key in two halves

The service and the recipient's side each hold half. Neither can open the file without the other.

You approve access

Recipients are verified before a file opens. With approval on (the default), you decide each time whether it does.

One-time and expiring

Let each person open a file once, or set a date after which it won't open at all.

Never in a browser

Files and keys stay in the desktop app. This website never sees them.

Revoke anytime

Take away access for one person or everyone. Future opens are blocked from that moment on.

Let them read it. Not keep it.

Mark a file view-only and the recipient can read it in SVX, without saving a copy of their own.

Won't open

For teams

For teams who hand off sensitive work.

Reports, contracts, findings: the files you send outside your company are the ones you most want control over.

  • Personal accounts. Sign up with Google, or with your email address and a password, and send to anyone who has SVX, by their email address.
  • Company accounts. Recipients sign in with your company login. Your own key agent holds your side of every key, policies decide who may open what, and every decision lands in a tamper-evident audit trail.

Eve gets hold of the file. She isn't a chosen recipient, so all she has is a sealed file she can't open.

OPEN

Bob is verified, Alice approves, and Bob reads the findings in his SVX app.

REVOKE

The engagement ends. Alice revokes access, and the file won't open for anyone again.
